Thermocouple recycling: what we collect
Used and broken thermocouples, including platinum types R, S and B. We also take nichrome and Kanthal heating elements and molybdenum furnace hardware. We collect from heat treaters, foundries, glass makers, kilns and labs.
Keep the platinum types apart
Types R, S and B contain platinum-rhodium wire. Keep them in their own labelled container, away from types K and N.
Elements and furnace hardware
Heating elements and molybdenum fixtures go with nickel superalloys, not general scrap.
How to pack them
Bag or box them by type, label each one, and give us a rough count or weight. Tooling goes with tungsten carbide.

Collection across metropolitan Melbourne, with delivery to our yard available by arrangement for business loads.
