What we accept

  • Motors or transformers from an equipment retirement, with the owner's sign-off.

  • Units your electrician has already disconnected.

  • Weight, size and lifting points described for each unit.

  • Tell us about oil, leaks or contamination. Units with unknown contents are checked first.

  • Single units up to pallet lots. Motors still bolted into fixed plant are not handled.

  • No minimum. The units are quoted with the wider job.

Describe the whole unit

A motor, a drive and a transformer cabinet can look alike in a photo but need very different lifting. Send the nameplate details and a photo of the whole unit.

Don't open casings, drain oil or cut connections. Just tell us about leaks or damage.

Weight and access

Give us the weight from the nameplate, not a guess. Show the route to the truck, including steps, narrow doors and low ceilings. Tell us if a forklift or crane is on site and who operates it.

Arrange the collection

Collection across metropolitan Melbourne, with delivery to our yard available by arrangement for business loads.

Motors and transformers come through our equipment retirement service, with the rest of the site.

Related pages: copper cable, mixed metal and lead-acid batteries. Our full list covers everything else. Tell us what you've got before you book any lifting equipment.

Email us a photo of the material.
